About Department:
The Department of Computer Science is one of the nine academic departments of the Bajaj College of Science, Wardha. The Department came into existence in 1988 and is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. Global excellence, teaching, and technological development are the department’s vision. Computer Science is the study of the theoretical foundations of information and computation; and of practical techniques for their implementation and application in computer systems. Since 1988, it has been committed to the best IT education and continuously scaling new heights in the field of Information Technology. It is efficaciously providing quality education to students. The department consists of a well-equipped laboratory comprising computers and internet facilities.
The department is conducting regular refreshing courses in computer awareness for teaching and non-teaching staff, since last 20 years.

Highlights of the Syllabus under Academic Autonomy:
There are two main objectives to the B.Sc. Computer Science Programme
- The primary goal of the degree program in Computer Science is to provide students the foundations for the future work and careers in computation-based courses. These foundations support both a successful career path in computing as well as provide appropriate qualifications for further degree work in computation related disciplines. Our degree emphasizes development of analytical skills, acquisition of knowledge and understanding of systems, languages and tools required for effective computation-based problem solving.
- A Computer Science major will provide you with knowledge of programming, operating systems, compiler design and principles of programming language. These skills will prepare graduates to enter technological fields such as systems programming, technical support, research and teaching.
On completion of the B.Sc. Computer Science Programme, the students:
- Will have sound knowledge of Programming languages such as C, C++, Data Structures, Java, Python, and SQL & PL/SQL. Also, they will learn about Information Technology, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, and Compiler Construction.
- Can participate in off-campus internships, independent study projects, programmer roles, part-time computer employment, and on-campus employment as lab assistants, lab supervisors and helpdesk assistants.
- Be in a position to develop industrial and entrepreneur applications.
Facilities:
The college and the department of Computer Science is continuously working for upgradation of laboratories and all the learning facilities for the betterment of the students of the department.

ICT Center:
The Information and Communication Centre was established by the college to provide a center having 45 computers with high-speed internet connectivity, facilitates as access center for online lectures, courses, study material, etc. The center also provides the facility for scanning and printing of the documents of the students. The center is also having a language laboratory for the students to enhance soft skills of the students.
