Internal Complaints Committee ( ICC)

The college established the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to take care of Sexual harassment of girls and womens at worlplace as per the direction given in ‘‘The sexual harassment of womens at workplace , Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act 2013’’. According to the guidelines given, ICC committee has been constituted. The committee consists of Presiding Officer, Two representetives of faculty members, Two representetives of non teaching staff, Student representative of UG, PG and Ph. D and External member of NGO. The college conducted the workshops and guest lectures of eminent personalities from the respective fields to sensitize the students of both the genders about this act. Dr. Ms. Suhas Khandare, Asso. Prof and Head, Department of Microbiology, is working as the Convenor of CWSS and Presiding Officer of ICC.

               Centre for Women Studies and Services (CWSS)

Centre for Women Studies and Services (CWSS) established in the college in the session 2001-02. Every year students of B. Sc. and M. Sc. ( girls and boys ) are enrolled in CWSS activity. The aims and objectives of CWSS activity at the college level is noble since now a days, it is observed that undergraduate and post graduate students of science background generally are not much aware about the social issues. So, it is a good opportunity for the students to get acquainted about these various problems that help to build their personality also. This center is motivated with the study of different social problems related with the womens. Women empowerment, Men-Women equlity, Dowery system in marriages, Child labour, Superstitions in womens, Contribution of youths in developing India, Small scale industries related with agriculture, pollution, protection and preservation of environment and water, the problems of senior citizens and the remedies to solve it, Education : The challenges and remedies, contribution of youth in the field of sports  etc. Students select any two topics and study thoroughly throughout the year to prepare the projects. The projects are evaluated to get the incentive marks.

The CWSS students celebrate World Population Day on 11th July every year. The guest lecture arranged to make aware the students about the increasing population of India. The programme of International Literacy Day on 9th September, August Kranti Din on 26th August, Ahimsa Rally on 2nd Oct. are also celebrated by CWSS students. A programme on the waste management arranged by CWSS students in collaboration with Stri Mukti Sanghatna, Bruhnmumbai Mahanagarpalika on 09.09.2017. The resource person Ms. Nayana Patil and her team from Gram Vikas Tantra Niketan, Pipri demonstrated the management of biodegradable kitchen waste with magic bucket.  Around 250 students of college attended the program and get motivated. The CWSS students along with their regular studies participate and carry out the activities related with the social cause and purpose.
